Discussion Group

The Committee is proposing to introduce a new type of event to create an additional meeting opportunity in the winter months.

 The concept is to hold (small) group meetings on a wide range of topics with our own members leading a discussion, normally following a short presentation.  The aim is to share our pet interests with other members of like mind.

 We will meet at a pub or restaurant for coffee after which the presentation/discussion will take us to lunchtime when members can leave or stay for a drink and lunch.  We will pay for our own coffee and lunch and there will normally be no additional cost except when a room charge is incurred for a very large group.  In this case the charge will be shared.  We will initially impose an upper attendance limit of 12 to preserve the discussion group format and the lower limit is 2!

Following an announcement at the AGM and this posting, members wishing to attend any of these should contact Peter Webster on phnw@greenbee.net or 01582 766093 or 07710 426751.  Peter would welcome comments and especially volunteers to lead subsequent discussion groups.
